Spire refers to this as a "Snapshot" in order to distinguish it from
a "Backup":
- a "Backup" is the process of copying files from your server
to a safe location offsite.
- a "Snapshot" is just a compressed copy of your database that
initially resides on your server.
You must have Spire Server Admin rights to be able to make a
Snapshot of your databases.

From within Spire, select Tools, Server Administration

You will be presented with a logon screen. Enter your Spire
username and password

In Companies, select the company you wish to create a Snapshot
for. In the icons above, click the "Create Snapshot" icon.

In the lower right corner of the screen you will see the progress
of the Snapshot creation.

When it is complete, you will see the following.

That's all - you're done!
